The ideal package if you’re looking to share your portfolio, showcase your offline business, create a blog or build an audience without all the bells and whistles of an online store.

 

In 5 days you can have the perfect online presence to showcase your work. Having a professional website gives the best impression to potential clients or future employers. A great website helps your business stand out and presents you as reliable and trustworthy.

This package will create a simple and effective website for you in 1 working week. A place to share your work, give visitors the essential information and a way to contact you directly.

 The Process

1.

The Call

Set up a free consultation call to tell me about your business and your website or design requirements. We will talk about your existing website, if you have one, your business, what you are aiming to achieve and how we can create a site that works for you.

 
 

2.

The Proposal

After our call, I will send you a written proposal outlining the costs and the steps involved in working with me. Once you agree to work together, I will send you an invoice for 50% of the fee which will book you into my design diary for an agreed start date.

3.

The Content

I try to make the design process as straight forward as possible. You’ll need to prepare your site’s content and imagery and I’ll take a number of steps to streamline this process effectively.

Before our design start date I will send across a number of forms, where you can add your copy, images and decide on layouts. The forms will include clear instructions and visuals to give you a better understanding of how the content will appear on your site before it gets there. Your progress will be saved automatically so you can always come back to it later.

 
 

4.

The Build

The build process will take place over 1 week from the agreed start date.

  • This is where you can sit back and relax. I’ll build out the entire site with the content provided, so you can get on with running your business.

    At the end of Day 2 I will send you a link to the site and you can browse through the site normally on a computer, phone, or tablet. I’ll also provide you with a unique link to the site so you can leave feedback.

  • Day 3 is all about implementing your feedback. From the link I provide you, you will be able to post your feedback directly on the site like sticky notes. No long email chains required. Last calls for feedback will be EOD on Day 3 to ensure all changes are implemented prior to launch
    On Day 4, I’ll spend the morning making any additional changes to your site. By the afternoon, I’ll invite you to the backend of the site so you can make edits and maintain the site in the future. I’ll guide you through the process of selecting a Squarespace plan for hosting. We’ll then make the site public for some final testing.

5.

The Launch

Friday - The Launch: We’ll have a video handover session on navigating your site before we officially launch.

I’ll take you on a tour through the backend of your Squarespace site. I’ll teach you how to use the site, update and edit it, as well as focus on areas that are especially important for you. I’ll record this lesson so that you can refer back to it. I’ll also put a link to the lesson on a hidden page on your website.

The site is then live, ready for you to share and promote!

Here are some answers to some common queries.

  • No, I believe every site has unique requirements. Different CMS may who want a beautifully designed website with robust functionality while being easy to maintain.

  • I offer 1 week and 2 week build slots based on the scope of your website build. You must prepare your site content in advance of the design process. I’ll help guide you through gathering your site content but I recommend booking your design slot several weeks in advance to give you time to gather all your content. You must also be available to provide feedback during your build slot

  • My design services to not include the cost of hosting your site with Squarespace. You can find the price points for Squarespace’s website plans here.

  • If you don’t have your own photographs, I can assist with sourcing stock photography for your website. I also work with a number of excellent photographers in Dublin, Ireland and will put you in touch with the best one for your requirements.

  • I take a 50% deposit to book you into my design calendar. The balance is paid upon the site going live/project completion. Pricing information can be found here. You can schedule a free consultation call here.
