Squarespace offers a built-in tool to migrate from 7.0 to 7.1. However, not all version 7.0 pages, features and styling options exist in version 7.1. It can take a bit of work to recreate your site’s look in the latest version. With my help, you can continue to run your online business, without interruption while that hard work is done for you. When it’s done, you have the same great website plus all the added benefits of 7.1. You can also rest assured that your site will be able to receive the benefit of Squarespace’s future development efforts.

Book Your Slot
Book a 3 day design slot in our calendar. Payment will be taken upon booking. You’ll receive booking confirmation immediately after booking. You will be sent reminders of design commencement prior to your start date. Make sure to book a time slot where you will have availability to be reached out to by email.

The Build
Within the first two days of the build, I’ll confirm the migration and redesign in 7.1 has been completed. The design will be sent to you for approval. Any feedback can be implemented on the final day before completing the migration.

The Launch
Your 7.1 website is live and ready for you to share and promote!

Upon migration, I’ll share on resources on editing your site in 7.1. For 14 days after the design window, feel free to reach out with any questions you have on making changes in 7.1

Here are some answers to some common queries.

None. The move to 7.1 happens in the back end. You’ll see the changes when you log in as a site editor but your customer will still see your original site. Customer’s will only see the 7.1 version when we push that publish button.

An invoice is sent for the package in full upon agreement of the project proposal. Payment of the invoice confirms your build slot dates.

I will send you a written proposal outlining the costs and the steps involved in working with me. Once you agree to work together, I will invite you to book your 3 day build slot as a hold.

Then I’ll create and deliver your website within the timeframe of our build slot.

Not at all. Some features will look different or may even be retired in 7.1. I’d recommend reviewing Squarespace’s documentation here before making any choices. You can also reach out to me directly with any specific questions. Overall, I think moving to 7.1 is a good idea for future-proofing but the choice is yours.

Your pages will also be converted to the newer fluid engine editor so that you can make use of that going forward.
