The Prototype
The client was able to provide a huge amount of content and high quality imagery for the site. So, the main task was to create a solid structure and navigation for users to find the content and allow the imagery to speak for itself.
The content needed filtering for separate audiences; those looking to avail of photo scanning services and those looking to purchase fine art photography, The design needed to create the best user experience to help those audiences find the content to meet their needs.
The Styling
We opted for a simple colour scheme of neutral colours to create a traditional and historical feel, ensuring the focus remains on the fantastic photography and imagery. A simple navigation with classic typography and minimalist iconography create visual prompts for the user while aligning with the site’s overall theme.
The Store
We built out a fully integrated online store ideal for print photography. Integrating multiple online payment processors, offering a variety of product variants to accommodate different frames, sizes etc. and creating local pickup and shipping options. The result is a professional online store with a seamless checkout process for users.
Something Extra
McGrath Photo Scanning offers a great service to restore old photos; restoring faded colours and reducing dirt and scratches, with Digital Ice Technology and Photoshop enhancement. The results of this speak for themselves, so we custom built a before and after slider to showcase the value of this service.
